St. John’s IceCaps MEDIA RELEASE

MONTREAL, QUEBEC (October 22, 2015) – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have assigned forward Mark MacMillan and defenceman Josiah Didier to the Brampton Beast of the ECHL.

Neither player has dressed for the IceCaps so far this season.

MacMillan was a fourth-round draft pick of the Canadiens in 2010. The Penticton, B.C. native was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference defensive forward of the year in 2014-15 with the University of North Dakota.

Didier was signed to a one-year American Hockey League contract in the off-season after completing a professional try out contract (PTO) with the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate in Hamilton last season. In 148 career NCAA games with the University of Denver from 2011 to 2015, the Littleton, CO native recorded 29 points (4 goals, 25 assists) and 203 penalty minutes.
