MONTREAL, QC — The AHL Report team joined the Laval Rocket’s April 1, 2021 media call after the team’s Thursday practice.
The Rocket are back in Quebec after a dominant road trip where they tallied 15 of 16 possible points. They wrapped the trip on Tuesday with a win against the Manitoba Moose. Tomorrow night, they’ll host the Stockton Heat for the first of a three game series.
Today, Rocket forward Ryan Poehling discussed playing with new linemates, the pending arrival of Cole Caufield, and his support of the St. Cloud State University Huskies in the upcoming NCAA Frozen Four tournament.
Head coach Joel Bouchard described what his young team needs to do to get through this next portion of the schedule, playing five games in nine days, and talked about the significance of a player like Caufield making the jump from college to pro hockey and what it takes as a coach, individual, and team to ease that transition.
