ROSTER UPDATE | Canadiens Recall Charlie Lindgren from St. John’s IceCaps

MONTREAL, QC. – General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Montreal Canadiens have recalled goaltender Charlie Lindgren from the St. John’s IceCaps of the AHL.

The recall is on an an emergency basis, while Al Montoya suffering from a lower-body injury. Zach Fucale has been assigned to the IceCaps.

Lindgren, a 23-year-old netminder, has appeared in 45 games with the IceCaps this season, posting a 22-17-6 record, 2.62 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage. He also registered four shutouts on the year.

Lindgren was called up by the Habs at the very beginning of the regular season while Carey Price was recovering from a virus, but did not see any game action.
