MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Bulldogs have released four players from their training camp roster and assigned three others.

Among the players released today from professional try outs were defencemen Paul Cianfrini, Jonathan Narbonne and Jeremy Price as well as forward Kelsey Wilson.

Defenceman Matt Grassi and goaltender Mike Condon were assigned to the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers. Defenceman Dalton Thrower was assigned to the Western Hockey League’s Vancouver Giants.

These latest moves reduce Hamilton’s training camp roster to 29 players, including 19 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders.

Forwards remaining on the Bulldogs’ training camp roster include Justin Courtnall, Stefan Chaput, Maxime Macenauer, Mike Blunden, Erik Nystrom, Akim Aliu, Louis Leblanc, Joonas Nattinen, Jordan Owens, Sven Andrighetto, Patrick Holland, Gabriel Dumont, Ben Duffy, Stefan Fournier, Stephen MacAulay, Alex Belzile, Nick Tarnasky, Christian Thomas and Martin St. Pierre. Defencemen still at training camp include Greg Pateryn, Darren Dietz, Nathan Beaulieu, Nathan McIver, Drew Schiestel, Magnus Nygren, Morgan Ellis and Joel Chouinard. The goaltenders remaining at training camp are Robert Mayer and Dustin Tokarski.

Hamilton’s third and final pre-season game will be played on Thursday, October 3rd at 7:00 p.m. when they will host the Utica Comets at J.L. Grightmire Market Street Arena in Dundas, Ontario. The Bulldogs regular season and home opener is scheduled for Friday, October 11th at 7:30 p.m. against the St. John’s IceCaps at Copps Coliseum.
