BULLDOGS SIGN JOSIAH DIDIER TO PRO TRY OUT
6-3, 220-pound defenceman had 11 points in 40 games at University of Denver this season

MONTREAL, QUE. – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Bulldogs have signed defenceman Josiah Didier to a professional try out contract.
In 40 games this season – his senior year with the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s University of Denver Pioneers – the 21-year-old Didier recorded 11 points (three goals, eight assists) and 58 penalty minutes.
In 148 career NCAA games with the University of Denver from 2011 to 2015, the 6-3, 220-pound defenceman recorded 29 points (four goals, 25 assists) and 203 penalty minutes. Before his collegiate career, the Littleton, Colo. native spent the 2010-11 season with the United States Hockey League’s Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, where in 58 games he amassed 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) and 81 penalty minutes.
Didier was selected by the Canadiens in the fourth round (97th overall) in the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Thursday, April 2 when they’ll host the Chicago Wolves at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
