The pressure is on this week as the series shifts to Syracuse. Following a devastating loss in double overtime last week, St. John’s IceCaps are 1-1 with the division leaders. The ‘Caps will have to win two out of their three games in order to make it to the next round of the playoffs.
Players to Watch
Nikita Scherbak – Scherbak has 41 points in the regular season and one so far in the Calder Cup playoffs.
Charles Hudon – Hudon leads the team in the playoffs with three points in two games.

Syracuse Crunch
The Syracuse Crunch put up a good fight in St. John’s last week winning the second game of round one in double overtime. The Crunch rank at second in both the special teams power play and penalty kill, just ahead of the IceCaps at third. While they may have the home team advantage this week, they will also have to win two out of three games to make the next round.
Players to Watch
Tye McGinn – McGinn has two points so far in the Calder Cup playoffs and 19 points in the regular season. His game winning goal on the 22nd earned him the first star of the game.
Matthew Peca – Peca has 41 points in the regular season and three points in the Calder Cup playoffs so far.
