ECHL Media Release
The ECHL on Thursday announced its All-ECHL Second Team for 2016-17 as determined in a vote of ECHL coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and media, who were asked to select a goaltender, two defensemen and three forwards.

G – Jake Paterson, Toledo Walleye (47 gp, 32-13-2, 2.34 GAA, .916 save pct.)
D – Jake Marto, Colorado Eagles (67 gp, 10g, 46a, 56 pts., +16)
D – Kevin Schulze, Wheeling Nailers (66 gp, 12g, 46a, 58 pts., +3)
F – Shane Berschbach, Toledo Walleye (68 gp, 18g, 62a, 80 pts., +12)
F – Brendan O’Donnell, Florida Everblades (59 gp, 39g, 38a, 77 pts., +30)
F – David Vallorani, Brampton Beast (70 gp, 32g, 50a, 82 pts., +10)
David Vallorani of the Brampton Beast earns postseason accolades for the second time in his career after previously being named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team in 2012-13. Vallorani is tied for fifth in the league with 50 assists while he is third with 82 points. He ranks second on the Beast with 30 goals.
Jake Paterson of the Toledo Walleye leads the league with 32 wins and is third with a 2.34 goals-against average and is tied for sixth with a .916 save percentage. His six shutouts are second in the league and is tied for the third most by a goaltender in a single-season in ECHL history.
Jake Marto of the Colorado Eagles is tied for first among defensemen with 46 assists and is third with 56 points. His 23 power-play assists are second among league blueliners and he is third with 28 power-play points.
Kevin Schulze earns a spot on the All-ECHL Second Team after being named to the All-Rookie Team yesterday. Schulze leads rookie defensemen, and is second overall among blueliners, with 58 points in 66 games. His 46 assists are tied for first among league defensemen and he is fifth with 18 power-play assists.
Shane Berschbach of the Toledo Walleye appears on the All-ECHL Second Team after earning a spot on the All-ECHL First Team last season. Berschbach is third in the league with 60 assists and is sixth with 78 points while ranking second in both power-play assists (26) and power-play points (34).
Brendan O’Donnell of the Florida Everblades ranks second in the ECHL with 39 goals and is tied for seventh with 77 points, which leads the Everblades. He is tied for fifth in the league in plus-minus at +30.
