TORONTO, ON — This week in review (October 22-28) there is a familiar name at the top of the three stars list.
Your comments are most welcome. If you have a question about any of the prospects email me, and perhaps it will be answered in the weekly All Habs mailbag feature that appears on these pages on Thursdays.
The Three Stars
1. LW Tim Bozon
Topping the honours list for a second straight week, Tim Bozon has shown no signs of slowing down his production. Bozon began his week by marking two goals and an assist as the Blazers ran over Brandon with an 8-1 victory on Friday night. Bozon would follow with another 3-point performance on Saturday, marking a goal and two assists in a 5-2 victory over Victoria. Bozon would add two more assists on Sunday, including on the overtime winner in a 5-4 win over Seattle to help Kamloops to tie a franchise record of 13 straight wins. Bozon is currently riding a 7-game points streak, scoring 8 goals and 8 assists in that frame, is 3rd in WHL scoring and 2nd in goals. Bozon was drafted in the 3rd round, 64th overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
2. C Alex Galchenyuk
With a limited amount of offensive talent on Sarnia this season, it is often falling to Alex Galchenyuk to be their point man. Galchenyuk began his campaign on Thursday, scoring two goals and an assist, including the game-winner on a penalty shot to give Sarnia a 5-2 victory over Windsor. Galchenyuk would go pointless on Saturday against Erie in another 5-2 victory for Sarnia, he still showed he had a solid reserve for Sunday. Facing off against Brampton, Galchenyuk marked a goal and two assists in a 4-1 victory over Brampton. Galchenyuk is currently 7th in league scoring in the OHL. Galchenyuk was drafted in the 1st round, 3rd overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
3. RW Sebastian Collberg
While Collberg was sentenced to essentially ride the bench in the Elitserien this season, he’s found new life after being transferred to the secondary professional league in Sweden, the Allsvenskan. In his first game with Örebro HK, Collberg scored his first professional goal in a 4-3 loss to the Malmö Redhawks. Collberg would go pointless in a 5-0 victory for Örebro over Karlskrona, but would notch his 2nd goal in the following game, in a 5-4 victory over Asplöven. Collberg was drafted in the 2nd round, 33rd overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
On The Radar:
– C Michaël Bournival and RW Brendan Gallagher both scored their first professional goal this week and their first pro assist.
– LW Blake Geoffrion scored a goal and two assists.
– RW Danny Kristo scored four assists.
– C Brady Vail scored four assists.
Question Marks:
– RW Alexander Avtsin continues to be a healthy scratch in Hamilton.
– LW Charles Hudon is out indefinitely with a concussion.
– RW Louis Leblanc is out with a right leg injury.

Stats not good on dumont
Given we’re only 6 games into the season for Hamilton, I would not take these stats as too troublesome. the Bulldogs are a very young team and many lack much AHL experience, team as a whole should be much better by the 2nd half I believe.
Your Charles Hudon stats appear to be erroneous. The games played is correct, but the QMJHL website says the rest is wrong. 11gp, 9g, 7a, 16pts, +4, 16 PIM.

Thanks for catching that, fixed.
There is no doubt that Bozon is going to top this list numerous times this season, but how much do you think that has to do with how good Kamloops is? He was probably my second favourite pick from last years draft but I don’t want to get my hopes to high.
They should trade Galchenyuk to Kamloops 😉
Kamloops is probably due for some regression amongst their top scorers, Top 2013 pick Hunter Shinkaruk (91P last season) is already close to Bozon as he’s taken off now and has 29P. They were on a hot streak in Kamloops and will level off, but I’d expect Bozon to put up Gallagher-esque numbers this season at the least.
