The Beast came out firing in the first period, outshooting the Royals 14-8 and scoring two goals in fairly quick succession. The first was a power play tally by Chris Auger, assisted by Luke Pither and Jordan Henry. Less than three minutes later, David Vallorani potted an even-strength goal against Mark Dekanich, assisted by Matt Petgrave who returned to the lineup on this night after being a healthy scratch in the first two games. Reading was able to get one of those goals back in the second period, but goaltender Zach Fucale and the Brampton defense were able to keep the Royals at bay for the remainder of the game. The Beast won this one 2-1, and now take a 2-1 lead in the series. Game 4 will take place at in Brampton on Thursday night. ▲ Zach Fucale, David Vallorani, Matt Petgrave, Chris Auger, Luke Pither, Jordan Henry ▼ |
