AHL Report interviewed Brampton Beast (ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) forwards Connor Crisp, Brandon MacLean and defenceman Dalton Thrower following their game against the Reading Royals on Saturday April 1, 2017.
The trio spoke about clinching a playoff berth for the first time in Beast franchise history. As Canadiens prospects, Crisp and Thrower also discussed their season and development.
Connor Crisp was a third round selection by the Canadiens (71st overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. This season, after returning from injury, Crisp has played 40 games for the Beast, recording 13 goals, 16 assists for 29 points. He has also played seven games for the St. John’s IceCaps.
Dalton Thrower was a second round pick in 2012 (51st overall). Thrower split his season between the St. John’s IceCaps and Brampton Beast in 2015-16. This season, Thrower has played 12 games for the Beast after returning from injury.
In 59 games this season, Brandon MacLean has 22 goals, 32 assists for 54 points. He has also appeared in two games for the IceCaps.
