ST JOHN’S, NL. — After two weeks on the road, the St. John’s IceCaps return home to face the Binghamton Senators and the Syracuse Crunch. The IceCaps will first face the Senators for a pair on the 14th and 15th, following a pair against the Crunch on the 18th and 19th.

St. John’s IceCaps
  • Following two wins and one loss last week, the IceCaps move down one spot in the North division ranking at fourth, and take the 19th spot in the league overall. Despite being strong in the special teams power-play, the IceCaps continue to lack in the penalty kill taking the last spot in the North division.
Players to Watch
  • Bobby Farnham – Farnham has the most penalty minutes per game on the team, averaging at 2.33 minutes.
  • Brett Lernout – Lernout has played 50 games with the IceCaps, and has accumulated 12 points this season.
Notes Goaltenders
  • Forward Daniel Carr has been reassigned from the Montreal Canadians  to the IceCaps after being recalled on the 8th.

Binghamton Senators
The Binghamtom Senators (20-25-2-1) hold the sixth spot in the North division, and are 25th in the league overall. The Senators have defeated the IceCaps in two out of their three previous games this season, and are in the bottom two in the division for the special teams penalty kill as well as the power-play.
Players to Watch
  • Jake Rodewald – Rodewald is the third rookie leader in the league for shooting percentage, with 22.0%.
  • Jason Akeson – Akeson is the second leader of the team with 25 points in 30 games played.

  • According to the Binghamton Senators on Twitter, defenseman Jamie Doornbosch has been assigned to the BSens on a PTO contract.
