TRADE | Montreal Canadiens Acquire Forward Laurent Dauphin from Nashville Predators for Michael McCarron, Will Report to Laval Rocket
MONTREAL, QC. — On Tuesday, the Montreal Canadiens sent Michael McCarron to the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Laurent Dauphin.
Dauphin has played 33 games this season for the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) recording seven goals, nine assists for 16 points. The 24-year-old has played 252 games in the AHL with 55 goals, 78 assists for 133 points and 270 penalty minutes. The Repentigny, Quebec native has played 35 games in the NHL recording four points.
Dauphin will report to the Laval Rocket. He was chosen by the Phoenix Coyotes in the second round (39th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
McCarron was taken by the Canadiens in the first round (25th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. This season he has five goals and 14 points in 29 games with the Laval Rocket. He also played 69 games for the Canadiens recording eight points.
