Ontario Hockey League Media Release
TORONTO, ON — The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) announced they will broadcast more than 600 games during the 2021-22 season, along with a number of pre-season matchups. “The Ontario Hockey League is pleased to provide over 90% of all regular season games on television as well as 100% of our season and playoff streaming live and online with OHL Live on CHL TV,” said David Branch, OHL Commissioner.
Junior hockey fans will have a multitude of options to choose from to view their favorite OHL teams and prospects.
Rogers tv will carry more than 400 games on local stations in Barrie, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Oshawa, Ottawa, and Owen Sound.
YourTV, available to Cogeco television customers, will broadcast over 350 home and away in areas like Kingston, Niagara, North Bay, Peterborough, Sarnia, and Windsor.
Hamilton Bulldogs fans will find home and away games on Cable 14, while Eastlink will host 27 Sudbury Wolves home games. 49 Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds home and away games will be found on Shaw Spotlight.
Home games for the Erie Otters, Flint Firebirds, and Saginaw Spirit will live on the OHL Action Pak, a premium sports channel add-on for Rogers, Cogeco, and Eastlink television customers.
CHL TV provides another option for hockey fans as an upgraded streaming subscription service available online. Fans can select a single league or an all-access subscription which includes the OHL, WHL, and QMJHL.
After a full season without OHL action last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Branch expressed the magnitude of anticipation behind the 2021-22 season. “We’re all excited about the return of OHL hockey and fans have the opportunity to enjoy it in a variety of ways with the support of our great broadcast partners.”
