Goaltender Charlie Lindgren and defenceman Mark Barberio were selected to represent the St. John’s IceCaps at the All-Star festivities. Barberio, currently up with the Montreal Canadiens, was unavailable to attend. Lindgren and Terry were both involved in the Rapid Fire event. Lindgren made five saves against two shooters, Robbie Russo (GR) and Kenny Agostino (CHI.) Terry had two goals against Anton Forsberg (CLE.) Kyle Wood (TUC) walked away as the winner of the hardest shot competition with a blast of 99.3 mph from his 110 flex stick. Hardest shot winner from last year’s event was Ryan Graves at 103.4 mph. IceCaps defenceman Morgan Ellis also posted a shot of 100+ mph in that event. The last Canadiens prospect to win the hardest shot competition was defenceman Magnus Nygren at the 2014 All-Star event with a shot of 104.6 mph. Cole Schneider (RSH) took the crown for accuracy shooting hitting all four targets with just five shots. Devon Toews (BRI) was the fastest skater clocked at 13.478, second fastest in league history. Jack Roslovic (MB) was just behind with a time of 13.674. Lindgren made two spectacular saves drawing cheers from the PPL Center fans during the pass and score event facing Alexandre Carrier, Roslovic and Daniel O’Reagan. Terry had a five-hole goal in the same event on Anton Forsberg. Lindgren made three saves in the Breakaway relay on Carrier, Matej Stransky (TEX) and A.J. Greer (SA).
