He worked in professional sports in communications for 15 years, starting his career with the Canadian Football League in 1988, and was with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 1993 to 1999. He also spent two seasons as colour commentator for the Ontario Hockey League’s Brampton Battalion on Rogers TV.

“Cable 14 and its shareholder companies – Rogers, Cogeco and Source Cable – remain committed to bringing fans and viewers yet another exciting season of Bulldogs hockey,” said Cable 14 general manager Brent Rickert. “The team on the ice looks as solid as the Cable 14 production and on-air team, who can’t wait for the puck to drop so they can offer yet another year of spectacular goals, great hits and fantastic saves – all in HD.”
