BROSSARD, QC. — It’s July and it’s one of the busiest weeks in hockey. Just one week ago was the NHL Entry Draft (although it seems longer) and Friday marked the opening of the free agent period which turned out to truly be a frenzy this year. Sandwiched in-between and spilling over to the weekend is the Canadiens Development Camp for 56 young prospects.

Habs Development Camp is one of our specialities here at All Habs Hockey Magazine — this edition marks the seventh camp from which we have been posting daily reports. At times it’s been somewhat lonely — yes, we have flipped on the light switch in the gallery for early morning drills — but we know that you are relying on us to provide insights on the next generation of Habs stars.  And with separating the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.

The mainstream folks arrive for the media availability sessions, gather their quotes and head out into the warm summer air. But we know that our readers are more interested in what players can do rather than what they say, so we watch the drills and the scrimmages providing an observational analysis for fans who are unable to make the trek to Brossard.  Plus we like to take every advantage to evaluate hockey talent to provide the most accurate assessment possible for you.

As this year’s development camp comes to a close we will  give you a glimpse of what goes on at Brossard broadcasting live from the final intra-squad scrimmage.  We’ll offer a brief recap and highlight some of the prospects who have distinguished themselves this week.

Here’s how it works. At 10:00 am. EDT, we’ll be here online in the broadcast window below. We’ll discuss the development camp and give you a chance to interact with us through a live chat.  Ask a really good question and YOU could join us on camera!  As always you can also leave a comment in the section below.

To join the chat, use the controls in the top right of the window. You may also hover over the window with your cursor to get further options.

To ask a question or make a comment please use the blue “Submit Question” button in the bottom toolbar. Watch for your question / comment to appear as we display it in the window!

Be sure that you check out our Prospects section to read our day-by-day reports from Brossard.
