ST JOHN’S, NL. — This week, the St. John’s IceCaps play three road games against the Binghamton Senators, the Utica Comets and the Rochester Americans. The IceCaps head to New York to face the Senators on the 14th and the Comets on the 16th, before heading to Rochester to face the Amerks on the 17th.

St. John’s IceCaps
Following a win and a loss last week against the Springfield Thunderbirds, the St. John’s IceCaps continue to hold their spot at fourth in the North Division, following close behind the Albany Devils. The IceCaps hold the first spot in the division for penalty minutes, with a total of 474 minutes and an average of 18:32 minutes per game, and also hold the top spot in the North division for the special teams power play.
Players to Watch
Jacob De la Rose – De la Rose scored his first goal of the season this past Saturday against the Springfield Thunderbirds, and received the second star of the game.
Jeremy Gregoire – Gregoire is the second overall leader in the league for major penalties.
The Binghamton Senators (7-14-2-1) will face the IceCaps on Wednesday night, following a loss to the ‘Caps in November. The Senators rank seventh in the North Division, and hold a spot in the top ten Eastern conference for the special teams penalty kill.
Players to Watch
Ben Harpur – Harpur has the most penalty minutes on the team, with a total of 30 minutes overall, and an average of 1.50 minutes per game.
Casey Bailey – Bailey leads the team with nine goals and five assists.

The Senators signed forward Jason Akeson to an AHL contract after he spent 17 games playing in the KHL this season.
The Utica Comets (10-12-1-1) will face the IceCaps on Friday night, following two back-to-back losses to the ‘Caps in early November. The Comets rank fifth in the North Division, following close behind the IceCaps.
Players to Watch
Jordan Subban – Subban is the fifth defenseman leader in the league with 17 points.
Colby Robak – Robak is the third defenseman leader for assists with a total of 14 this season.

Vancouver GM Jim Benning announced that the Canucks had reassigned Joseph Labate and Andrey Pedan to the Comets.
The Rochester Americans (9-15-0-1) will face the IceCaps on Saturday night, following a shootout loss to the ‘Caps in November. The Amerks rank sixth in the North division, and also hold the third spot in the division for the special teams penalty kill.

Alexander Nylander – Nylander is one of the top ten rookie leaders in the league, and is also the second rookie leader for power-play assists.
Nick Baptiste – Baptiste holds a spot in the top ten in the league for goals scored, with a total of 11 so far this season. He also holds a spot in the top ten for power play goals, with a total of five.
