HAMILTON, ON – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Club has released defencemen Étienne Boutet, Antoine Corbin and Kevin Gagne and forward Stephen MacAulay. Boutet will return to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Rimouski Oceanic, Corbin to the Western Hockey League’s Prince Albert Raiders and Gagne and MacAulay to the QMJHL’s Saint John Sea Dogs. 24 players now remain on the Hamilton Bulldogs training camp roster.
Bulldogs training camp continues today, Wednesday, October 10th, with an 11:00 a.m. practice at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. The ‘Dogs will wrap-up training camp with practices at Wave Twin Rinks, located at 1179 Northside Road in Burlington, Ontario, on Thursday, October 11th at 10:00 am and on Friday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m. Both on-ice sessions at Wave Twin Rinks will be open to the public.
Following Friday’s practice, the Hamilton Bulldogs will travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan where they will open their 17th American Hockey League season on Saturday, October 13th at 7:00 p.m. with a game versus the Griffins at Van Andel Arena. The Bulldogs’ 2012-2013 home-opener is scheduled for Friday, October 19th at 7:30 p.m. when they will host the Toronto Marlies at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton.
