St. John’s IceCaps Media Release
ST. JOHN’S, NL – Montreal Canadiens and St. John’s IceCaps General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the IceCaps have released goaltender Bryan Pitton from his 25-Game Professional Tryout contract (PTO).
Pitton, 28, played one game with IceCaps – a 5-2 loss to the Albany Devils Saturday night. The Brampton, ON native was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 5th round (133rd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
I am not suropised by this at all with Charles being sent back down and the signing of Dennis no need at all to keep 4 goalers and from what I tread in the 1 game Bryan din’t look sharp also being drafted by Edmonton and their property it isn’t in the HABS intrest to develop him nor in a worse case scenio cann him up to the HABS.
