BELLEVILLE, ON — Andrew Hammond, who was traded Sunday night to the Colorado Avalanche as part of the Ottawa Senators’ acquisition of Matt Duchene, will remain with the Belleville Senators for the time being.

Officially, Colorado has re-assigned goaltender Andrew Hammond to Belleville on loan. Hammond can play for the Belleville Senators as property of the Avalanche; should he be recalled, he would report to Colorado.

The 29-year-old is 2-2-1 in seven games for the Belleville this year with a 2.61 GAA and a .925 save percentage.

Hammond has played in 55 NHL games, all with the Ottawa Senators, and holds a 27-14-6 record with a 2.32 GAA and .923 save percentage.
