BUFFALO, NY — On Thursday afternoon, Team Canada got their first experience skating at center field of an NFL stadium. The team gathered at New Era Field, home of the Buffalo Bills, for their practice session in preparation for the outdoor game against the United States scheduled for Friday afternoon.
After practice, most of the players and coaches spent some time capturing the moment on their cameras with plenty of smiles and laughs seen around the rink. Then they made the long walk back up the tunnel to warm up and speak with the media.
Listen and watch below as Lead Correspondent Amy Johnson speaks with Montreal Canadiens defenseman Victor Mete about his thoughts on the outdoor game, how it felt to practice outside in such a big venue, his feelings on being named an alternate captain, and how his time in the NHL this season has helped prepare him for the World Junior Championship tournament.
